International Association of Deposit Insurers Conference

International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) is a non-profit organization constituted under Swiss Law and is domiciled at the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland. IADI was formed in May 2002 to enhance the effectiveness of deposit insurance systems by promoting guidance an international corporation. IADI currently represents 83 deposit insurers from 77 jurisdictions. IDIC has been an active member of IDIC since 2005. IDIC (Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation) or LPS was the host of 15th IADI APRC Annual Meeting, Regional Workshop, and International Conference held in Yogyakarta. The event was attended by 70 delegation from 30 countries, and 300 participants from Indonesia itself and overseas. The theme of the workshop organized at Hyatt Regency was “Enhancing the DIC Roles through Resolution Activities” while the theme of the conference at Alana Convention Center was “Reforming Deposit Insurance - How Far Have We Gone?”. Key speakers on the conference were Mr Halim Alamsyah, Chairman of IDIC and Vice Chairperson of APRC; Mr. Hiroyuki Obata, Deputy Governor, Deposit Insurance Corporation of Japan and Chairperson of APRC; Mr. David Walker – Secretary General IADI.
